1st Floor
Offers 80m2 of open plan living area in the newly built section of the house, including a fully fitted kitchen, with panoramic windows along the length of the room to fully appreciate the stunning location of this property. Sliding glass doors lead onto the terrace to the side of the house, where the original bread oven has been converted into a barbeque.
The living area includes two sofas and wide screen TV with DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, large 5 ring gas cooker with electric oven, and a small fridge. In the utility room behind the living area you will find a second large fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, plus a toilet.
Leading round back into the tower you will come to a stunning shower room with glass roof, large walk in shower with seat and two washbasins. There is a third individual toilet, and then at the front of the tower the second double bedroom, with door leading out to the side of the house into the garden. Wooden stairs lead into the attic area of the tower where you find the fourth bedroom with twin bedrooms. Please note that because of the original beams headroom is limited so it is not suitable for adults over 6 foot.
Other facilities
As the house is set on a hillside, clever landscaping has made the most of the large garden. The garden slopes down from the new extension so that all you see are the large panoramic windows- the roof of the new building is covered in grass- helping to blend the new section of the house into the landscape while also being an extremely efficient insulator. The 10 x 4 metre pool with underwater lighting has shallow steps leading from the shallow end down to the deep end (maximum depth 1m80), and is protected by a roll on security cover. Terracing around the property gives plenty of space, and the old bread oven to the side of the house terrace has been converted into a barbeque. The whole house has been developed as sympathetically as possible using natural materials with a highly individual finish.
