Set in a small hamlet just 3 km from the medieval fortress town of Domfront, the bedrooms face south, overlooking beautiful rolling countryside. Ideally located close to Domfront and within an easy drive from Caen, Le Havre, St Malo and Cherbourg, we are well placed for stopovers for those travelling from the ferry ports to the South, and for those looking for property in the area. For those wanting a holiday, the area is steeped in history and there are many places of interest and beauty to visit.
Drive through the shady Foret d'Andaines and visit the pretty spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne (20 km), see the 'Grande' and 'Petite' Cascades at Mortain (20 km). Tour the Cider Museum at Barenton (10 km) or swim in the lake at La Ferte-Mace (20km). See the old town of Fougeres with its medieval chateau. Visit the 'Ville Enchante' at Bellefontaine.
The lovely sandy beaches on the Northern Coast of Brittany can be reached in under two hours, so too the famous Abbey at Mont St Michel and the historical town and war museum at Avranches.
Alternatively why not explore one of the themed walking/cycling routes - du Cidre, du Poire or Lancelot du Lac? There is also the Fosse d'Arthur, a short distance away with forest walks, streams, pony trekking and fishing. For the more energetic there is rock climbing, canoeing and sailing close by.
There are several 9 and 18 hole golf courses within an hour's drive.
Evening meals are available at €15 per person and light suppers can be provided at €10,00 (please book in advance). On warm evenings, dinner can be enjoyed on the terrace whilst watching the sun set over the valley.
